From Middlewich the clinic is roughly eight miles due south: the A530 runs from the town past Leighton Hospital into Crewe, a drive of about fifteen to twenty minutes.
Middlewich has been sending things out into the world since Roman times, when it was the salt-working settlement of Salinae — and salt is still produced in the town today. The Trent & Mersey Canal threads through the middle of it, met by the Middlewich branch of the Shropshire Union, so journeys are rather in the town's blood. The route could hardly be simpler. The A530 starts at Middlewich and runs south past Leighton Hospital straight into Crewe; from there it is a short hop across town to the clinic at 139-141 Nantwich Road, with parking nearby, and the whole drive normally takes fifteen to twenty minutes. Coming from the Kinderton side, the A54 drops you onto the same road out, and travellers from Warmingham or Byley join partway along. Middlewich currently has no passenger railway station, so most people do drive — the nearest stations are at Sandbach and Winsford if rail is essential.
